Aylesbury is fairly flat and so with no hills to block signals, analogue and digital TV reception is generally very good. The Oxford transmitter is the main source of signals for the town and gives good analogue and digital TV reception all over Aylesbury. Most digital aerial installations are directed to Oxford. The villages around Aylesbury also deliver largely good TV reception, the main exception being the Waddesdon area. Reception here is blocked by hills and trees in all directions. Some houses receive from Oxford, some from Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield) and some from Sandy Heath.
