BBC / ITV Freesat Installation
OXFORD AERIALS can install BBC /ITV Freesat for you. This service is designed to allow viewers in all parts of the country to receive digital TV. Freeview does not work in all parts of the country, whereas Freesat works everywhere. The selection of Freesat channels will approximately match the Freeview channels when the line up is complete.
A BBC Freesat receiver costs £75 including VAT and the cost of having a dish supplied and fitted is around £100. These costs are comparable with having an aerial and a Freeview receiver installed, so it’s a good alternative.
High definition
BBC / ITV Freesat has the advantage that it already has some channels broadcasting in High Definition. This superior picture quality broadcast is best appreciated on a large flat screen TV. High definition broadcasts are probably coming to terrestrial Freeview in around 2010.
